NASHUA

ROTARY CLUB SCHOLARSHIPS

Applicants for the Rotary Club of Nashua scholarship must be residents of Nashua and a senior attending any Nashua high school who plans to attend an accredited postsecondary institution, including technical colleges, trade schools and two- or four-year colleges. The applicant must not be a family member of the Rotary Club of Nashua, and must be willing to participate in an interview. Application or information: nashuarotary.org. Deadline: 4 p.m. March 16.

NHS CLASS OF ’74 MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Applications for the Nashua High School Class of ’74 Memorial Scholarship are available at both Nashua public high schools through guidance offices. All applicants must be a Nashua high school senior enrolling full time in a two- or four-year accredited college in the U.S. no later than fall 2015. Students must have a GPA of at least 2.5 and have been a citizen of the U.S. for at least one year to apply. Deadline: Applications must be postmarked by May 6.

AMHERST

AMHERST GARDEN CLUB

The Amherst Garden Club is offering $4,000 in scholarships to Amherst or Mont Vernon residents who will be attending an institute of higher learning to study horticulture, botany, plant science, landscape design or environmental science as it relates to horticulture. Applications are available from student services or guidance offices at Souhegan High School, Bishop Guertin High School, and The Derryfield School in Manchester. Other Amherst and Mont Vernon students or graduates can get the application from Sue Alger at 673-5664 or at amherstgardenclub.org. The deadline for Souhegan High students need is April 1. All other applicants should mail their applications to the Amherst Garden Club, Attn: Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 694, Amherst, NH 03031 by March 16.

SOUHEGAN SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION

The Souhegan Scholarship Foundation applications are posted. In addition to its memorial scholarships, it has posted scholarships for arts and humanities, business, career and technical, and STEM categories. The scholarships are available to any high school senior who is a resident of Amherst or Mont Vernon, regardless of school attended. Applications or information: souhegan

HOLLIS

HOLLIS WOMAN’S CLUB ALTERNATIVE SCHOLARSHIP

The $1,000 Hollis Woman’s Club Alternative Scholarship is open to one woman who is working toward completing a program or degree that will help her learn a new skill, or return to or advance in a job. Applications: holliswomans

MONT VERNON

SKENDERIAN-MCCOLLOM-GRIFFIN SCHOLARSHIP

The Skenderian-McCollom-Griffin Scholarship applications are available at Mont Vernon Town Hall, Daland Memorial Library, the Mont Vernon Store and the student services office at Souhegan High School. The scholarships are awarded to Mont Vernon residents seeking full-time postsecondary education leading to certification, associate degree or bachelor degree. They may be awarded to high school seniors and continuing education students. Applications must be received by the trustees of trust funds, Mont Vernon, by March 15.

REGIONAL

CAVE LIGHT SCHOLARSHIP FOR HIGH SCHOOL FILMMAKERS

New Hampshire filmmakers in grades 9-12 will have the opportunity to submit their best short film to the Cave Light Scholarship Fund by April 1. The winner will receive $1,000 and have their film featured during the third annual Monadnock International Film Festival held April 16-18 in Keene, as well as on the festival’s website and social media pages. Open to students attending high school in New Hampshire. The prize will be awarded to a director, writer or producer. Film must be less than 5:01 minutes. Any theme or topic is acceptable. Work will be judged based on quality of story, overall production, use of lighting and audio, editing techniques, composition of shot, directing skills and performances. FISHER CATS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats and the Fisher Cats Foundation will award 12 scholarships to outstanding scholar-athletes from New Hampshire and Massachusetts who demonstrate academic excellence, significant athletic achievement and active civic involvement. Each award is $2,500 and includes recognition at a Fisher Cats game during the 2015 season.
