Host family sought for Chinese exchange student attending Nashua school
NASHUA – The Massachusetts Bay Area Team of AFS Intercultural Programs/USA is looking for a family to host a teen from China for the remainder of the school year – through June 30.
Minchen, who’s attending the Academy for Science and Design in Nashua, is a lively and outgoing girl who always does her best to help others when they’re in need and values her friendships highly. She’s honest and sincere, and keeps herself busy with a variety of hobbies.
She likes arts and sports. She also plays the piano, paints and sings, especially bel canto. Fencing is her favorite sport because it has taught her how to be brave and courageous.
Minchen believes every experience has a valuable lesson in it. She was in a first-semester family who gave her a warm welcome to the United States, but who are unable to host her for the entire year.
The AFS provides 24/7 support by staff and trained hosting volunteers to ensure that the host family and the student have the best experience possible.
