ASD in Nashua to host ‘Best Practices’ conference
NASHUA – The Academy for Science and Design will host the New Hampshire Public Charter School Association “Best Practices” Conference from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, March 13.
This will be the fifth year that ASD has hosted the event, which is open to teachers, staff, administration and board members of New Hampshire charter schools.
Those in attendance will share knowledge and strategies in order to provide the best education for charter school students, despite limited funding. It is also an opportunity for networking among the staff members of difference schools.
Charter schools get less funding than traditional public schools. Coming together to discuss these challenges and ways to overcome them is beneficial for the state’s public charter schools.
The conference features workshops on everything from “Special Education in Charter Schools,” “Integrating Technology into the Classroom” and “Personalizing Projects to Increase Student Interest and Investment” to a Smarter Balanced question-and-answer session presented by Dr. Scott Mantile, from the Bureau of Accountability and Assessment Department at the New Hampshire Department of Education.
