Teacher at Infant Jesus School in Nashua earns award
NASHUA – Edith Couchman, the art teacher at Infant Jesus School was selected by the Hillsborough County Conservation District as Conservation Teacher of the Year.
Couchman has more than 20 years of experience as a visual arts and environmental science teacher. She is responsible for designing and building the school’s outdoor classroom, which has been certified as a wildlife habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.
The school’s Gardening Club, which is supervised by Couchman, meets weekly and is responsible for the upkeep and care for the outdoor classroom.
