College achievements by students from Greater Nashua

Here are college achievements by students from Greater Nashua:

EMERSON COLLEGE

Kelly Dubois, of Amherst, a student at Emerson College in Boston, secured an internship at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles for the fall 2014 semester. Dubois is majoring in postproduction.

FRANKLIN PIERCE UNIVERSITY

These local students graduated this summer from Franklin Pierce University in Rindge.

FROM AMHERST: Charissa Roche received a Master of Business Administration in leadership.

FROM HUDSON: Brian Milo received a Bachelor of Arts in mass communication.

Rilinda Siegel graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in accounting and finance.

FROM LITCHFIELD: Cheryl Willnus received a Bachelor of Science in nursing.

FROM MERRIMACK: Katharine Dutton received a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice.

Mary Horgan received a Master of Science in Nursing – Leadership.

SUNY POTSDAM

The State University of New York at Potsdam awarded scholarships, grants and awards to 998 students for the 2014-15 academic year. These undergraduate and graduate students were recognized for their achievements with support for their educational experience. The recipients included Katelyn Egan, of Hudson, whose major is music performance. Egan was awarded the Crane School of Music Scholarship and the SUNY Potsdam Freshman Scholarship.

UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS LOWELL

The University of Massachusetts Lowell honored more than 80 students in its Co-op Scholar Program last summer for their work with faculty mentors on academic research and service projects that are helping to answer needs in the business world and community. Students also exhibited their project’s results during the annual Co-op Scholar Showcase event. Local students involved included Alexander Milot, of Nashua, a biology major who conducted research on cancer treatment.
