Nashua woman becomes VP at Academy of Notre Dame
TYNGSBOROUGH, Mass. – The Academy of Notre Dame announced the hiring of Karen Weidner, of Nashua, as vice president of institutional advancement.
Weidner currently serves as director of alumni relations at the Tilton School, a coeducational college prep school in New Hampshire.
Weidner has extensive experience in Catholic advancement, having also been the director of institutional advancement at Bishop Guertin High School for 12 years. She has experience in managing advancement programs and special events.
“This is an amazing opportunity both professionally and personally,” Weidner said. “I am very excited to be a part of this great community rooted in the teachings of the Sister of Notre Dame de Namur.”
Weidner holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Rivier University.
“Karen brings an amazing skill set to the academy,” said Dr. Albert Shannon, acting president. “Her work in alumni relations, fundraising, planned giving and major gift solicitation will serve the academy for many years to come.
