MATT SEXTON

Matt Sexton, a senior chemistry major at Wheaton College in Norton, Mass., and a native of Merrimack, will spend his first year after college teaching English in Poland with a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship grant.

Sexton, who plans to become a doctor in pediatric medicine, said he wanted to take a year off before applying to medical school. Sexton found he enjoyed working with students while tutoring in Wheaton’s chemistry department.

“I wanted to explore this interest, and the Fulbright will allow me to develop my abilities as a teacher while having the opportunity to explore Poland,” Sexton said.
