LOCAL STUDENTS IN KEENE STATE’S ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE CONFERENCE

Keene State College’s 14th annual Academic Excellence Conference took place on April 5. This student professional conference is designed to showcase the academic work of Keene State students and the collaborative work between students and faculty. Local students who participated were:

FROM AMHERST: Jessica Corkery (art) presented “Graphic Design Life: A Map Beyond the Mind.”

Katelyn Shaw (theatre and dance/film studies) presented “From Auditions to Performance: Producing a modern dance concert.”

FROM HOLLIS: Alexander Davis (theater and dance/English/film studies) presented “From Auditions to Performance: Producing a modern dance concert; Disassembled: A dance exploration of perpetrator psychology; and The Coming-of-Age Narrative: African Women Writers’ Examination of Female Autonomy.”

Katherine Wadleigh (theater and dance) presented “Importance of Sharing Art for Universal Academic Growth.”

Nicole Rochon, of Litchfield, was inducted into Psi Chi, the National Honor Society for Psychology, on April 13 at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pa.

LOCAL STUDENTS INDUCTED INTO PHI THETA KAPPA

These local students at Manchester Community College were recently inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa, the honor society of two-year colleges.

ISABELLE LIMONDIN

Isabelle Limondin, of Milford, a student at Alma (Mich.) College, participated in the college’s annual Kapp Honors Day program on April 3. This day provides a forum when traditional classes are canceled and students share their original research, creativity and talents with an audience of their peers. Limondin presented “Nicest Thing,” a dance performance.

Ashley Riendeau, of Lyndeborough, was recently initiated into Plymouth State University’s chapter of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

Alexander Cronin, of Merrimack, was recently initiated into Plymouth State University’s chapter of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

CHRISTOPHER GILLESPIE

Christopher Gillespie, of Litchfield, a student at Emerson College in Boston, was recently inducted into the Gold Key Honor Society. Gillespie is a junior majoring in writing, literature and publishing.
