NASHUA – Several local students were honored during the Nashua Catholic Regional Junior High School scholastic awards ceremony in early June.

Tara Duffy, daughter of Diane and Peter Duffy, of Merrimack, received the top school award in art and also received the St. Francis of Assisi Service Award. She plans to attend Trinity High School in Manchester.

Connor Ogorchock, son of Anna and James Ogorchock, of Merrimack, received maxima cum laude distinction on the National Latin Exam, the NHAWLT Language Award in Latin and the Catholic Math League Award. He will attend Bishop Guertin High School.

Lauren Cavignano, daughter of Julie and Frank Cavignano, of Amherst, received the Mrs. Claire Kecy Writing Award, was recognized for Student Council leadership and was the recipient of the Trinity High School Book Award, which recognizes an eighth-grader who will be attending the school in the fall and who displayed strong academic achievement in the arts, literature, science and math.

Phillip Schmitz, son of Diane and Keith Schmitz, of Mont Vernon, received the top art award. He will attend a high school out of state in the fall.
