Milford first-graders rewarded for reading

By Staff | Jun 19, 2014

MILFORD – Jacques Memorial School first-grade teacher Nadine Tourlitis challenged her class to read for 20,000 minutes this year.

As a reward for reaching their goal, the class decided they would have a hot dog party and asked that Tourlitis and Principal Nancy Maguire dress up as something for the party – so they dressed up as hot dogs.

Students were also given a Star Reader certificate at the party.
