NASHUA – Jacalyn Lesser, a math teacher at Nashua High School South, was selected as the Nashua Lions Club 2014 Teacher of the Year.

Peter Testa, past chairman of the Mine Falls Park Advisory Committee, and Chairman Greg Andruskevich nominated Lesser for her efforts in promoting Mine Falls Park Trail Days and getting volunteers to help.

Lesser is the adviser of the South National Honor Society. She also ran the Boston Marathon last month, and secured almost $10,000 in pledges for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Lesser was honored at the May 19 Lions meeting at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
