Professional artists sought for NH Arts in Education roster

By Staff | May 2, 2014

The New Hampshire State Council on the Arts announced that Friday, May 2, is the deadline for professional artists to apply for the New Hampshire Arts in Education Artist Roster.

The roster serves as a resource for educators interested in bringing experienced teaching artists into classrooms to work with youths, including through the Arts Council’s Artist Residencies in Schools for Arts Learning grant program.

Members of the Education Artist Roster are professionals who have the ability to use the arts as a tool for a variety of learning experiences. These artists may work in school classrooms, after-school settings, summer arts programs, community-based programs such as community or in correctional facilities.

For more information, visit www.nh.gov/nharts or contact Catherine O’Brian, New Hampshire State Council on the Arts, at 271-0795 or catherine.r.obrian@dcr.nh.gov. Applications must be postmarked by Friday or delivered to the N.H. State Council on the Arts, 19 Pillsbury St., Concord, by 4:30 p.m. Friday.
