NASHUA – Matthew Niemaszyk, a fourth-grade student at Nashua Christian Academy, received a writing award from PBS recently.

Matthew, of Litchfield, entered his story “Snow Globe Adventure” in the 2014 NHPTV PBS Kids Writers Contest. He was awarded honorable mention in writing and illustrating for third grade.

“You should know that you wrote and illustrated a great story, and you should be very proud,” wrote Susan Adams, NHPTV education manager.

At the third-grade level, students were asked to write a story from 100-350 words with an illustration. Entries were judged on the quality of the art and writing, and how well they worked together.
