Scholarships available to Greater Nashua students

Rotary Club of Nashua

The Rotary Club of Nashua is offering scholarships totaling $25,000. Two $10,000 awards will be payable at $2,500 per year and $5,000 will be awarded at the discretion of the committee.

Applicants must meet these criteria:

• Resident of Nashua and a senior attending any Nashua high school – Bishop Guertin, Nashua North, Nashua South, Nashua Christian Academy or the Academy for Science and Design.

• Plan to attend an accredited postsecondary institution.

• Not an immediate family member of the Rotary Club of Nashua.

• Willing to participate in an interview.

HOLLIS WOMAN’S CLUB SCHOLARSHIP

The Hollis Woman’s Club annual Alternative Scholarship Award application is available. The $1,000 scholarship is open to a woman who is working toward completing a program or degree that will help her learn a new skill, or to return to or advance in a job. HOLLIS FIRE DEPARTMENT SCHOLARSHIP

Applications for the Hollis Firemen’s Association’s Warren H. Towne Memorial Scholarship are available at Hollis Brookline High School and the Hollis Fire Station. The scholarship is to be awarded to a senior who is a Hollis resident. Application deadline: 4 p.m. April 11 at the Hollis Fire Station.

NATIONAL PROGRAM FOR GIFTED STUDENTS ANNOUNCES SCHOLARSHIP

Rural Connections, a scholarship program at the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, seeks students in grades 7-9 from families living in rural communities nationwide who are interested in the opportunity to pursue challenging academic courses on a college campus this summer. Students will receive a full scholarship to attend a three-week residential program, support to help them choose a course, supplemental academic advising and peer support after the program. Programs, held at 24 sites in the U.S. and Hong Kong, offer more than 100 courses in math, science. Scholars must qualify via above-grade-level testing, and come from families with annual income of $45,000 or less. Application deadline: Feb. 28. PLAN NH SCHOLARSHIP AND FELLOWSHIP AWARDS

Plan NH is accepting applications for its annual Scholarship and Fellowship Awards, which, in partnership with the NH Charitable Foundation, recognize outstanding students from New Hampshire who are in undergraduate or graduate studies programs related to sustainable planning, design and/or development of the built environment. Eligible students must call New Hampshire home, but may be studying at any accredited college or university.
