MERRIMACK – Nicole Straussberg, of Merrimack, gained a “merit” in December for her Level 5 piano theory examination given by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in Boston.

Nicole is an eighth-
grader at Merrimack Middle School. She is the daughter of Andy and Judy Straussberg, of Merrimack.

Level 5 is the highest level of theory that is required by the board for this program. There are eight levels of practical piano. Nicole will take her Level 6 practical piano in June.

Nicole is the piano student of Marie Mendelow, of Merrimack, who is a graduate of the board’s program.

The board, headquartered in London, is the largest international examination board in the world.
