Souhegan High students selected to NH All-State Jazz Festival

AMHERST – Three students from Souhegan High School were selected to the New Hampshire All-State Honors Jazz Band.

Jason Emmond, who plays bass, placed first for overall score. Jack Facey, who plays trumpet, and Kole Nunley, who plays trombone, tied for second for overall score.

They will take part in the All-State Jazz Festival from Feb. 6-8 at Pinkerton Academy in Derry. The students will get to work with Dave Rivello, a director, composer and arranger from the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester in New York.
