City man charged with gun theft

NASHUA – Michael Woodside, 57, of Nashua, was taken into custody on March 11 for allegedly stealing a firearm.
According to the Nashua Police Department, officers received a report about a gun that was stolen from a car parked on Elm Street. After reviewing video surveillance, police identified Woodside as the suspect having had previous interactions with him.
He was placed under arrest a short time later and police also recovered the firearm. Woodside has been charged with theft by unauthorized taking – firearm.
Woodside was held without bail and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua Court on March 12.
Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to $4,000.
According to police, Woodside was also arrested in September 2024 and charged with stealing $500 from a parked vehicle at 224 Main St.
