Hudson man charged with attacking police

HUDSON – Paul Norton, 39, of Hudson, has been jailed for allegedly attacking police on Black Friday.

Police said that at 5 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the area of 43 Gowing Road for a report of a disturbance. When officers reached the location, they located a disorderly man, whom they later identified as Norton.

During the conversation, Norton allegedly became combative with officers. After an alleged struggle, officers eventually subdued Norton. A police officers sustained a minor hand injury during the alleged confrontation.

Norton was charged with assault on a police officer and two counts of resisting arrest. He was jailed, and is scheduled for a Monday arraignment at the Ninth Circuit Court in Nashua.
