NASHUA – A multi-jurisdictional investigation that began two months ago when the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a cyber-tip alleging a Nashua man was involved with child pornography led to his arrest, police said.

Erik Jorgenson, 34, of 5 Crown St., Apt. A, is facing five counts of possession of child sexual abuse images, Class B felonies accusing him of possessing images depicting child pornography, according to police.

Jorgenson was arrested Nov. 14 on a warrant police had issued during their investigation, which they said “remains active and ongoing.”

Police in the Grafton County town of Campton, where Jorgenson apparently once lived, were involved in the investigation with Nashua police.

Shortly before his arrest, Jorgenson agreed to come to police headquarters for an interview, police said. While he allegedly “denied looking at child pornography,” police said Jorgenson admitted he “liked to look at ‘barely legal'” material, according to the reports.

He ended the interview, and police drove him home. However, it wasn’t long before they were back at his residence, this time with an arrest warrant and a search warrant.

Police said investigators seized electronic devices containing “a large quantity of child sexual abuse images.”

Police noted also that Jorgenson is currently on bail on charges stemming from two drug-related cases.

Judge Charles Temple set Jorgenson’s bail at $10,000 cash or surety, and ordered him to live at a Merrimack residence if he makes bail.
