Hampton Beach parking: What visitors really need to know
HAMPTON – Finding a parking space at Hampton Beach on a hot, sunny day is always a challenge, but this summer, it’s going to be even more so.
State parks and the town of Hampton have reduced its parking spaces by 50 percent in an effort to reduce the density of visitors (and allow for social distancing) on the beach due to the coronavirus pandemic.
What that means is there will be roughly 2,000 fewer parking spaces in the beach area.
However, Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce President John Nyhan said there is still plenty of parking. All private lots will be operating at full capacity, including the major ones like Chat Chew & Play, Central Parking and the large parking lot behind the Hampton Beach Casino.
