NASHUA – United Way of Greater Nashua is seeking volunteers for their upcoming community food drives and women’s hygiene drives.

United Way of Greater Nashua has added extra food drives and women’s hygiene drives to their schedule in November and December to meet an increased demand in the community, necessitating the need for more volunteers to staff the events.

The food drives will occur every Saturday at local supermarkets from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The food donations received go to community pantries in Greater Nashua such as the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter, the Salvation Army, End 68 Hours of Hunger, and the Employee Food Pantry at St. Joseph Hospital.

This is a great opportunity for high school students who need community service hours, but people of all ages are invited to help.

The women’s hygiene drives take place every second and fourth Sunday at Hannaford in Nashua. Women’s hygiene supplies will be used to stock Rosie’s Pantry, United Way of Greater Nashua’s women’s hygiene pantry hosted by Girls Inc., and supply some of the neediest schools in the Nashua School District.
