North Kingstown, R.I. – Ocean State Job Lot, the region’s premier discount retail chain with 148 stores across the Northeast, is pleased to announce its “Building Brighter Futures” fundraising campaign to help children in need throughout the region.

During the ongoing campaign, OSJL is collecting customer-donations at each of its stores’ checkout registers and on its website at oceanstatejoblot.com/building-brighter-futures, to directly support local organizations that help children in the Northeast struggling with food insecurity, barriers to resources like clothing, and a range of mental health and developmental challenges. One hundred percent of every dollar collected during the course of the campaign will go towards these efforts.

“There’s no reason a child in America should ever have to go without basic necessities such as food, water, clothing, education and healthcare,” said David Sarlitto, Executive Director, Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation. “With the help of our customers, partners, and associates we hope to make a meaningful difference in the lives of as many children as possible through the ‘Building Brighter Futures’ campaign.”
