Author Unger to give virtual talk on Oct. 13

Bestselling author Lisa Unger will discuss her latest book, Last Girl Ghosted, in a conversation with author Alafair Burke, via Zoom at 7 p.m. on Oct. 13.

The Rodgers Memorial Library in Hudson has partnered with the Tewksbury, Massachusetts, Public Library and other area libraries to sponsor this live Zoom event.

Participants registering through the Rodgers Library website, events.rodgerslibrary.org, will be entered to win a signed copy of the book.

HUDSON – The staff at Rodgers Memorial Library has announced the following event:

• Make Meditation Part of Your Day: A meditation practice brings awareness to all parts of life and doesn’t have to be a chore. Join master life coach Diane MacKinnon, M.D., for this live session at the Rodgers Memorial Library at 7:15 p.m. on Oct. 12. Learn to find places in your day to meditate and a few meditations to do on your own. Registration required, events.rodgerslibrary.org.

• Witches and Warlocks of Massachusetts: This October, the Rodgers Memorial Library is presenting a series of virtual events with paranormal authors and researchers. at 7 p.m. on Oct. 14, Peter Muise, author of “Witches and Warlocks of Massachusetts: Legends, Victims, and Sinister Spellcasters,” will discuss witches from Puritan times through modern urban legends. • The Legends and Lore of the Bridgewater Triangle: The series of virtual events with paranormal authors and researchers continues at 7 p.m. on Oct. 15 with a journey through the history and high strangeness of New England’s own paranormal vortex – The Bridgewater Triangle. From UFOs spotted in colonial times to mysterious creatures in the woods, it’s sure to be a weird evening. Presenter, paranormal researcher Tim Weisberg, has appeared on TV’s “Ghost Adventures,” “My Ghost Story” and “Monster Quest.” Sign up to get a meeting link at events.rodgerslibrary.org. • Teens After Dark – Pumpkin Carving: Teens ages 13 and older are invited to hang out in the Rodgers Memorial Library after hours from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Oct. 15. Carve pumpkins and eat snacks, with the library providing the pumpkins and tools. Registration is required at events.rodgerslibrary.org. • Haunted Lighthouses of New England: At 10 a.m. on Oct. 16, Jeremy D’Entremont, president and historian of the American Lighthouse Foundation will present a program on some of New England’s haunted lighthouses. D’Entremont has appeared on the popular “Ghost Hunters” TV show as well as “Haunted Lighthouses of America” on the Travel Channel. Sign up to get a meeting link at events.rodgerslibrary.org. • Spice Club: The Rodgers Memorial Library Spice Club features a different spice or spice mix from around the world each month. The October spice blend is Baharat, a Persian seasoning. Pick up a free spice kit, including a small amount of the spice blend, and a handout with information on the spice and suggested uses.
