Poetry Corner for June 26-27

By Staff | Jun 26, 2021

Throughout history our greatest

enemy has been ourselves.

Loyalists in the Revolutionary war

attempted to prevent the formation

of the United States of America.

Confederates in the Civil War

attempted to secede from the

United States of America.

Insurrectionists on January 6, 2021

attempted to overthrow the

United States of America.

God bless and save the

United States of America.

The ballasts of the gun

Are not the bullets

It is the weight of death

This quietus

Collective callous

Formed around a

Barrage of violence

Requires husking

So that every shot

Is felt

Only then

Will the demand be

Metamorphosis
