Naro joins Friends of NH Drug Courts
CONCORD – The Friends of New Hampshire Drug Courts today announced that Anthony Naro, an attorney with Bernazzani Law firm in Nashua and formerly with the NH Public Defender’s office, joined the Friends board of directors.
The Friends of New Hampshire Drug Courts is a statewide charitable organization that provides financial and educational support to participants of drug courts, an alternative sentencing program operating in 10 New Hampshire Superior Courts. Drug courts are in Brentwood, Concord, Dover, Keene, Laconia, Lancaster, Manchester, Nashua, North Haverhill and Ossipee.
Naro has more than 12 years of criminal trial experience as a public defender where he served Hillsborough County-South in Nashua and Rockingham County in Stratham. He also represented clients on appeal as assistant appellate defender. Naro joined Bernazzani Law last November, where he continues to represent clients in criminal and family matters.
“As a former public defender, I saw firsthand how transformative Drug Court could be for people suffering from addiction. Drug Court participants, however, always needed extra support – whether it was money to fix their car so they can get to work, a security deposit for an apartment so they could have stable housing, or even to pay fees to obtain their driver’s licenses,” Naro said.
“Friends of New Hampshire Drug Courts helps overcome some of those financial obstacles, increasing a person’s chances at succeeding in the program and living a sober life. I am honored to be part of such an organization and look forward to helping those struggling with addiction transform their lives,” he added.
