Local National Honor Society creates new event

By Staff | Apr 3, 2021

NASHUA – The Humane Society for Greater Nashua was contacted by Nashua North High Schools students in the hopes of working together for their year-end service project. The students needed to work on a project that would give each member of the group a specified role, and meet a need within the community. With the guidance of Humane Society staff, the students created the ‘Bounce for Bunnies’ event; a peer to peer fundraising effort all leading up to a celebratory bounce party at Altitude Indoor Trampoline Park in Merrimack.

The students were tasked with planning the event from start to finish. This involved finding and working with the venue for their bounce party, creating donation incentives, soliciting sponsorships, decorations, and crafting marketing messaging. Their hard work shows through the online donation platform they created, to raise needed funds for the pets awaiting adoption at the Humane Society for Greater Nashua. In addition the process has been an excellent learning opportunity for the students.

At the conclusion of the fundraiser, the students will celebrate their efforts with a Bounce Party at Altitude Trampoline Park in Merrimack NH. Altitude was so generous and donated a party room, and all of the party fixings to these students. To support the National Honor Society Cohort of Nashua North High School, and the animals awaiting adoption at HSFN, please consider making a donation to the “Bounce for Bunnies” page at: http://bit.ly/hsfnbounce.
