CONCORD – Last week, the appointment of Dennis R. Deziel to serve as assistant commissioner of the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services was approved by Gov. Chris Sununu and the Executive Council. Deziel most recently served as regional administrator for Region 1 of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, overseeing environmental protection efforts across New England.

“I am excited to have Dennis join the NHDES team and to welcome him back to New Hampshire. Dennis’s leadership experience and broad knowledge of environmental issues with both state and federal governments will be a true asset to the agency,” said Bob Scott, NHDES commissioner.
