Nashua Lions Club Plastic Bag Collection Program
The Nashua Lions Club reached its goal of collecting 509 pounds of plastic, for which they will receive a Trex Bench made of recycled plastic. Thanks to all the Lions, their family and friends who collected plastic; to Mr. Maguire at Market Basket for being an awesome community partner; to Mark Hendrickson for his help getting the plastic to Market Basket; to Eileen Kelly for her collaboration with Kohls; to Jeremy Freda and Home Depot; and to Martha and Joel Ackerman for chairing this event. In addition, the club has been collecting plastic pill bottles to be sent to facilities where they are not available, and patients are given pills in their hands to take home.
