Scouting Around

By Staff | Jan 9, 2021

Scouts in Pack 425 recently set aside time to decorate the clubhouse for Christmas. One light goes out, they all go out! But in this case, the pack was prepared and had a few strings of new lights ready to go up. The monthly pack meeting took place shortly after all the decorating. Awards were handed out, and it was obvious that one of our new Lion Scouts, Leo, was putting in overtime as he went home with a pack all-time record of four Adventures in one month. An Adventure is a very fun way to learn and practice Scouting skills. Leo was presented with the following Adventures: Lion’s Honor, Animal Kingdom, Fun on the Run and King of the Jungle. After awards and a few fun games, the Scouts had a very sweet opportunity with lots of Christmas cookies and plenty of frosting for everyone. Pack 425 is very fortunate to have the ever-so-popular older Scout Nick, from Troop 424, join them in his new leadership position of den chief. Nick’s passion is to help out with the meetings and activities. After completing the BSA Den Chief Training course and just a few meetings, it has become obvious that Nick has natural talent working with the younger Scouts. With all that’s going on with the pandemic, we are finding that families are looking for a safe environment to get out and do great things. Scouting is a wonderful place to start, why not consider getting involved? Pack 425 normally meets at Nashua Fish and Game clubhouse, 21 Al Paul Lane, Merrimack, on most Tuesday nights; however, for safety reasons, is currently meeting by way of Zoom.
