LEBANON, N.H. – For the 24th year in a row, ski and snowboard enthusiasts can kick off the winter sports season with the annual Warren Miller film viewing to benefit young patients battling cancer at Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD). In a year where change is the constant bedfellow, this year’s CHaD-Warren Miller fundraiser will look different than the 23 versions that came before it.
The new film from the legendary ski filmmaker’s production company is called “Future Retro.” It is available to viewers in New England and other east coast states for 48 hours beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7. CHaD supporters can buy a virtual ticket to the event and then log in to the live viewing for a virtual red carpet celebration to launch the film debut.
“2020 has certainly proved to be challenging for all people, and while we are still figuring out a path forward for all things COVID-related, we’re excited to be once again partnering with Warren Miller Entertainment to bring you their latest feature film that will be available to stream to your devices very soon,” said Mike Martin, long-time CHaD supporter and organizer of the Warren Miller annual event. “While our 24th anniversary event is different in 2020, let’s rally our friends, family and snow sports enthusiasts to support CHaD once again.”
Tickets are $30 and are valid for up to four people each. A minimum of $3 per ticket will be donated back to CHaD, in particular Kristen’s Gift Endowment Fund. After the transaction is complete, an exclusive viewing link will be emailed to the participant that is valid for 48 hours. Because of the pandemic, there are no goodie bags available for this year’s event.
Information regarding tickets and where to make donations to support young kids fighting cancer at CHaD can be found at www.CHaDWarrenMiller.org. In addition to the Nov. 7 showing, tickets are available to the other Warren Miller premieres on Nov. 14 and 21. Each of those tickets is valid for 48 hours.
