Flood Social Media with #WhyIVoteNH

By Staff | Oct 3, 2020

CONCORD – Although each person’s reason for voting may be different, there is no doubt that voting is a right and a privilege! Every voice counts and every vote counts!

AARP NH and the NH Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College are teaming up to encourage EVERYONE in the Granite State to vote on November 3. To get the #WhyIVoteNH rally cry started, join us in sharing your personal reason for voting on October 6 (exactly one month before the General Election!) on your favorite social media platform.

“Voting is a civic responsibility that impacts all generations,” said AARP NH State Director Todd Fahey. “We encourage people of all ages to come together this election season to vote and to participate in #WhyIVoteNH Day in order to express the importance of voting.”

All you have to do is pick your favorite social media platform – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or something else – and in one short sentence explain why you vote. Follow it up with #WhyIVoteNH. While you’re at it, post a pic of yourself wearing red, white and blue. Totally easy!

This will be a simple way for ALL OF US in the Granite State to flood social media with positive, personal messages about why we vote. We are all in this together! So let’s have a little fun with it and share with your friends and family too!

New Hampshire Institute of Politics Executive Director Neil Levesque said “We’re delighted to be partnering with AARP NH on this innovative and spirited day, and to encourage voter participation across generations.”

Whether you are voting for the 1st time or the 51st time, we challenge you to share your #WhyIVoteNH on social media on Oct. 6. Don’t forget the hashtag!
