By Staff | Oct 3, 2020

MANCHESTER – Catholic Charities New Hampshire, one of the state’s largest social services organizations, received a $25,000 grant award from the Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation to help immigrants and their families coping with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The grant is part of a planned $10 million commitment from the Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation to support individuals, families and small businesses in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island adversely affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. $3 million of these funds will directly assist nonprofits that are providing relief services amid the current crisis.

The Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation also recently granted $50,000 to the New Hampshire Food Bank, a program of Catholic Charities NH, to help purchase food to support food-insecure households statewide.

Catholic Charites NH’s Immigration Legal Services program provides low-income individuals with high-quality legal consultation and representation for a variety of immigration needs, such as naturalization, asylum and family reunification.
