Hudson VFW picnic slated for Sept. 19

By Staff | Sep 12, 2020

Hudson Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5791 recently announced the Fourth Annual Veterans Appreciation Picnic. It is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 19 at the Hudson VFW Post, 15 Bockes Road, Hudson.

This is a free picnic for all New Hampshire veterans, and it is open to anyone who has served in any branch of the U.S. military. You don’t have to be a member of the VFW, American Legion or any other organization to attend.

Spouses, children and grandchildren are encouraged to attend.

There is plenty of room for proper social distancing. Masks are encouraged but not required. All COVID-19 precautions will be taken. We have a large fenced-in picnic area (weather permitting) and a huge hall if the weather is bad.

There will be:

FREE hamburgers, hot dogs, soda and all the fixings.

Games and activities for kids.

Corn hole and horseshoe tournaments.

Come meet your fellow veterans.

Representatives of Veteran’s Service Organizations to answer vets’ questions.

Lots of free door prizes will be available.
