Girls at Work opens 2020 online auction; bids accepted through Sept. 27
MANCHESTER – Girls at Work Inc. opened its 2020 Online Auction last week, providing the opportunity to bid on a collection of unique items built by girls in New Hampshire who participate in the organization’s leadership and empowerment programs.
The auction is accepting bids through noon Sept. 27 at https://www.32auctions.com/girlsatwork.
All of the items in the auction were built at the newly renovated Girls at Work headquarters and workshops in Manchester’s Historic Millyard. Offerings include Adirondack chairs, garden planter boxes, book cases, wine, coffee and s’more bars, and even squirrel picnic tables.
In addition to browsing the 2020 Online Auction, all of the items up for bid will be on display at the Girls at Work grand opening event, set for 1-4 p.m. on Sept. 26 at 200 Bedford St. in Manchester. Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the new space and learn more about how the organization empowers girls through building.
According Girls at Work Executive Director Beth Dever, “The Girls at Work program is more important than ever right now. While the challenges of Covid-19 forced us to adjust our overall programming these past six months, we’ve continued to connect with our girls by delivering kits for them to build projects at home.” She added, “When you submit a winning bid on one of our 2020 auction items, you’re not only acquiring an extraordinary item to furnish your home, office, or garden, you’re also ensuring more girls tap into their inner strength, resilience, and grit to help them create a better future.”
