Step Up Parents gets grant from New Hampshire Charitable Foundation

By Staff | Sep 5, 2020

Step Up Parents recently received a $40,000 grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. The grant will further SUP’s mission to offer financial assistance to New Hampshire grandparents and other relatives who have ‘stepped up’ to care for a child whose parents suffer from substance use disorder

“This grant is a tremendous vote of confidence and belief in our organization and our mission,” said Denyse Richter, SUP Founder. “We are grateful and honored to have been selected.”

Since starting in 2019, SUP has provided assistance to more than 80 families. The grant will be used to help support programming while increasing SUP’s capacity to meet the demand for kinship caregiver assistance effectively and efficiently now and in the future.
