Poetry Corner

By Staff | Aug 15, 2020

there is solace in the rain

blanketing the skin

smothering the heat

cooling the burning

from the outside in

more rain I beg

saturate me

till the rain reaches my core

for I am on fire

always in flame

it is chaos inside

now the rain turns to storm

and chaos is outside

what was peace

is now thunder, lightning, wind

I open my mouth

and drink the flood

but now it is fuel

and I burst

incandescence
