Merrimack Junior Troop 10731 collected 178 inspirational cards and 586 pair of socks for the Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter, which well exceeded their original goal of 150 cards and 250 pair of socks. Through this project, these fourth-grade Girl Scouts earned the Girl Scout Power of Community award for the Agent of Change leadership journey. The troop worked well together as a team, while following social distancing, to help those in need and inspired others to do the same. The Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter was grateful for the girls’ commitment to their community.
