Nashua Lions Award Scholarships to Three Local Seniors

By Staff | Jun 20, 2020

With Nashua’s Greeley Park as a backdrop, members of the Nashua Lions Club gathered in the outdoor setting to recognize three Nashua High seniors as their 2020 scholarship recipients. One of the key components used by the selection committee dovetails the Lions motto, ‘We Serve,’ and those applying were asked to write an essay on What Service Means to them. The committee was chaired by Lion Lou Marino and consisted of Lions Gail Marino, Martha Ackerman, Fran Hendrickson, Stephanie Norris and Louise Deschenes. The recipients selected were: Grace Letho from Nashua North, Jeffrey Lam and Owen Long from Nashua South. Letho will be attending the University of Chicago, Lam will attend Dartmouth College and Long will be enrolled at UC Berkley. Each student received a check for $2,000.
