NH Writers’ Project Takes Programming Online

By Staff | Apr 12, 2020

Organization Shifts all in-person workshops and Annual 603 Conference to Virtual Format

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the New Hampshire Writers’ Project (NHWP) is now conducting all of its scheduled workshops online rather than in-person. “We are concerned about the health of our members, guest participants and presenters,” said Masheri Chappelle, Chair of the NHWP Board of Trustees.

“This is a serious situation,” said NHWP Director of Programming, Ron Stokes. “The silver lining is we are able to share our programming with far more individuals thru this shift to online learning.”

The writing organization also made the decision to re-configure its Annual 603 Writers’ Conference as an online experience. The virtual conference will take place on May 2, 2020. “This was a difficult decision, but the right one,” said Chappelle. “We have the capability, so why jeopardize the health of the attendees and presenters. Moving to online is the most socially responsible solution.”

The NHWP provides professional development, resources and a nurturing community for writers of all experience levels across all genres.
