During May 2021, Salem-based Fabrizia Spirits, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and the New Hampshire Liquor Commission (NHLC) teamed up on the “When Life Hands You Lemons” fundraising initiative to raise $15,000 to support New Hampshire Foster & Adoptive Parent Association (NHFAPA) and the expansion of Sibling Connections into New Hampshire, a nonprofit that reconnects siblings separated by foster care. Fabrizia Spirits exceeded the $100,000 fundraising milestone this year with its When Life Hands You Lemons initiative, which has raised critical funding for New Hampshire nonprofit organizations over the past 11 years. CONCORD – Fabrizia Spirits exceeded the $100,000 fundraising milestone with its “When Life Hands You Lemons” initiative, which has raised critical funding for New Hampshire nonprofit organizations over the past 11 years. Fabrizia Spirits has teamed up with the New Hampshire Liquor Commission (NHLC) and its broker partner, Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits, to donate a portion of profits from Fabrizia’s New Hampshire sales each May. In exceeding the $100,000 milestone this year, Fabrizia Spirits generated a record high of $15,000 for the New Hampshire Foster & Adoptive Parent Association (NHFAPA) to support the expansion of Sibling Connections into New Hampshire, a nonprofit that reconnects siblings separated by foster care.

“Fabrizia Spirits is committed to giving back to the community, and we could not be more pleased to have surpassed $100,000 in donations to New Hampshire nonprofit organizations with our annual When Life Hands You Lemons campaign,” said Phil Mastroianni, Co-Owner and Co-Founder of Fabrizia Spirits. “We are proud to have raised $15,000 this year to support NHFAPA, as the expansion of Sibling Connections into New Hampshire will benefit the lives of foster children around the state through programs and events that will reconnect siblings separated in the foster care system. We are grateful to our customers, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and NHLC for making this year’s fundraising initiative so successful.”

During the When Life Hands You Lemons campaign, Fabrizia Spirits raised funds from its sales at all 69 NH Liquor & Wine Outlets during May 2021 in support of Sibling Connections. Fabrizia Spirits donated a portion of profits from the sale of all of its products, including Fabrizia Limoncello, Fabrizia Italian Style Lemonade, Fabrizia Italian Breeze, Fabrizia Italian Margarita, Fabrizia Blood Orange Liquor, and Fabrizia Crema di Limoncello. NHLC facilitated the campaign by featuring prominent Fabrizia Spirits displays at all NH Liquor & Wine Outlets, while also informing customers about the initiative.

“This milestone marks an impressive achievement for Fabrizia Spirits, and we are proud to support this effort each year,” said NHLC Chairman Joseph Mollica. “While NHLC is committed to maximizing revenue for the New Hampshire General Fund, we are always looking for opportunities to work with producers and distributors to maximize fundraising opportunities to support New Hampshire nonprofits and this When Life Hands You Lemons initiative is a perfect example of that.”

In addition to NHFAPA and Sibling Connections, NHLC has worked with suppliers and brokers over the past six years to raise more than $3 million for nonprofit organizations making an impact in New Hampshire, including Crotched Mountain, Easterseals New Hampshire, Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire, Homes for Our Troops, Operation Care for Troops, New Hampshire Food Bank, Toys for Tots, Granite United Way, Community Foundation Sonoma County, Napa Valley Community Foundation, Concord Hospital, Best Buddies New Hampshire, Wildlife Heritage Foundation for New Hampshire, and the New Hampshire Lodging and Restaurant Association.

“We are thrilled to be recipients, along with the New Hampshire Foster & Adoptive Parent Association, of the 2021 When Life Hands You Lemons Campaign,” said Cynthia Dantas, Executive Director, Sibling Connections. “With this funding, we will be able to reconnect New Hampshire siblings who are separated in foster care by bringing them together for a lovely fall weekend in the White Mountains. Thank you to Fabrizia Spirits for their generosity in giving to important community initiatives.”

“The New Hampshire Foster & Adoptive Parent Association is thrilled to be helping to bring the Sibling Connections Program into New Hampshire for the first time, and with the support and generosity of Fabrizia Spirits, siblings will now be able to connect and enjoy a really exciting and wonderful weekend together,” said Mariellen MacKay, Executive Director, New Hampshire Foster & Adoptive Parent Association. “This is such an incredible gift to be able to give to children, the gift of time with each other!”

Through the When Life Hands You Lemons initiative, Fabrizia has also been able to generate funding for numerous nonprofit organizations throughout New Hampshire, including the Crotched Mountain Foundation, Homes For Our Troops, the New Hampshire Lodging and Restaurant Association and Brigid’s House of Hope.
