LaBelle announces name of new eatery

By Staff | Mar 6, 2021

AMHERST – Winemaker Amy LaBelle and her husband Cesar Arboleda, co-owners of LaBelle Winery in Derry, New Hampshire, formerly Brookstone Events & Golf, announce the name of their soon-to-be-opened restaurant as Americus. The new restaurant is scheduled to open sometime in mid-May.

“Americus is our tribute to the American Dream,” LaBelle says. “As a first-generation immigrant, Cesar embodies the spirit and character of the American Dream every day, and we are grateful to live in this country – filled with opportunity and hope.”

The restaurant space, an existing structure on the 45-acre property at the time LaBelle and Arboleda purchased it, will be entirely gutted for renovations. The result will be a completely new space that will have the comfortable visually pleasing aesthetic of a LaBelle Winery property.

The renovation is being conducted under the direction of designer and architect Peter Niemitz of the Niemitz Design Group of Boston. Niemitz is known for his exceptional restaurant and event space designs. Fulcrum Associates of Amherst, New Hampshire, is managing the renovation.

Americus will have a fresh, approachable and comfortable ambiance with elegant round booths and oversize seats for comfort. The color scheme will consist of soothing earth tones with pops of red. Americus will seat 280 guests inside and 100 guests in its outdoor dining area, which will overlook the property’s large natural pond and fountain.
