Dismas hires new executive director

MANCHESTER – Dismas Home of New Hampshire, a leading nonprofit helping previously incarcerated women transition back into society, announced recently the organization has hired Cheryll Andrews as its new executive director.

Andrews has spent the last 20 years driving the success of nonprofits, first as the director of development at the American Heart Association in Boston, and most recently as the executive director of the Great Waters Music Festival in Wolfeboro.

Dismas Home’s mission is to help previously incarcerated women return to the community through a unique and comprehensive education, training, therapy and recovery program offered in a loving home environment. In its first four years of operations, Dismas Home has experienced significant growth and success – 100% of the graduates of the Dismas program do not return to prison. The organization plans to further expand its operations and build a second home to be help meet the demand to help women and families break the chain of recidivism by giving them a second chance. Andrews was recruited to help spearhead that growth.
