Eversource is ready to respond to Tropical Storm Isaias

By Staff | Aug 3, 2020

MANCHESTER – With the effects of Tropical Storm Isaias expected to begin impacting New England Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning, Eversource is closely monitoring the track of the storm. While continuing to operate under its COVID-19 pandemic plan and adhering to its strict social distancing, hygiene and enhanced sanitation measures to safeguard the health and well-being of workers and customers, the energy company has hundreds of line, tree and service workers ready to respond, including additional contract crews.

“As many of our customers continue to work from home during the hot summer months in the midst of a pandemic, we appreciate how important it is to have reliable power,” said Eversource New Hampshire President Joe Purington. “Our crews are positioned around the state to respond to any damage or outages caused by Tropical Storm Isaias, and we will shift resources to the areas where they are needed most. Our team will work around-the-clock to restore power as quickly and safely as possible – yet some restorations may take longer as we ensure the safety of our employees and customers while working under the challenging conditions related to the pandemic.”

Eversource reminds customers to always stay clear of downed wires and to report them immediately to 9-1-1. Be sure to report any outage online at Eversource.com, or by calling 800-662-7764. Customers who signed up for the company’s two-way texting feature can send a text to report an outage and receive outage updates as they happen.
