NFIB reacts to relief fund package announcement

By Staff | Jun 27, 2020

CONCORD – The National Federation of Independent Business, the leading small business association in New Hampshire with thousands of members in the state, reacted to Gov. Chris Sununu’s announcement last week that a new program will begin soon to provide financial relief to sole proprietorships. The governor says New Hampshire’s Self Employment Livelihood Fund will open for applications on July 6. These very small businesses also faced financial hardship caused by pandemic-related business shutdowns. NFIB’s state director in New Hampshire, Bruce Berke, said, “It is good that the governor has issued this program for the thousands of sole proprietors who applied for the Main Street Relief Fund but were not qualified because they didn’t have employees.”
