Liquor & Wine Outlet opens in Tilton

By Staff | May 23, 2020

CONCORD – Four months ahead of schedule, the New Hampshire Liquor Commission opened Tilton’s first NH Liquor & Wine Outlet on May 21, spanning 12,000 square feet and featuring over 4,000 sizes and varieties of wines and spirits. The new Outlet, which is expected to generate $7 million in annual sales, mirrors the Warner and West Lebanon NH Liquor & Wine Outlets that opened recently. NHLC had initially planned to open the new Outlet in September 2020. With the opening of this new, larger Outlet in Tilton, NHLC will consolidate NH Liquor & Wine Outlets in Belmont and Franklin.

“We are pleased to be bringing the first NH Liquor & Wine Outlet to the community of Tilton,” said NHLC Chairman Joseph Mollica. “This new Outlet combines a state-of-the-art shopping experience, an expansive selection of products and a strategic location nearby established retail destinations offering convenience and accessibility. Since 2012, we have renovated or relocated 33 Outlets statewide all in an effort to position NHLC to continue increasing the critical revenue we deliver to the New Hampshire General Fund for years and years to come.”

NHLC strategically selected this Outlet location on the westerly side of I-93 at Exit 20, which situates the Outlet between Market Basket and Northway Bank, within a popular and densely populated shopping area housing automobile/truck dealerships, as well as several major retailers, including Walmart, Lowe’s and the Tanger Outlets.

Along with thousands of wines and spirits, the new Tilton Outlet features wide aisles, energy-efficient lighting, and iPad kiosks for browsing inventory and food and wine pairings. The new Outlet also includes temperature/humidity-controlled wine vaults, special sections for premium and ultra-premium spirits, and Price Busters and Wine Power Buys sections. NHLC constructed the new Outlet’s exterior entryway with its new signature rustic, wooden post and beam façade.
