Job Corps offering virtual training

By Staff | May 23, 2020

MANCHESTER – New Hampshire Job Corps is now offering virtual training for all students.

Students now have access to virtual training for each of the Center’s nine trades, academics, employability skills, career readiness skills and Driver’s Education. Instructors will be able to provide grades and other feedback in real time, just as if a student were in a physical class.

Our use of Google G Suite allows our instructors to share entire online classroom content with other instructors and even co-teach lessons. Instructors can also make their classes stand out by uploading personalized content for their classrooms in addition to the base curriculum.

According to NH Job Corps Center Director Tamer Koheil, “In proactively adapting to business climate change, NH Job Corps welcomes our virtual learning platform as the first step into the future of redefining the critical role we play in building the “next generation workforce to industry spec.” This is a prime opportunity to rethink, rebuild and redefine our potential to prepare students to actively compete in the new world of business.”

Job Corps is a no-cost federal education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor. Job Corps helps youth ages 16 to 24 improve the quality of their lives through career, technical and academic training. The New Hampshire Job Corps is operated by Adams & Associates.
