Uniform supplier with local facility ranked high

By Staff | Jul 27, 2011

NASHUA – UniFirst, a supplier of uniforms, work wear and protective clothing, has been ranked one of the nation’s top 50 apparel companies for 2011 by Apparel Magazine.

Apparel Magazine, a leading resource for global apparel executives, featured UniFirst in the No. 13 position this year, up three places from its No. 16 ranking in 2010.

UniFirst, which has a facility at 8 Industrial Park in Nashua, joins Nike (No. 7), J. Crew (No. 14), Timberland (No. 17), Under Armour (No. 20), Abercrombie & Fitch (No. 34), and Levi Strauss (No. 40) on the magazine’s list.

The magazine recognized UniFirst management’s ability to grow revenues and net income during the 2007-10 recession years, compared to other publicly traded companies in textile services.

“This recognition could only have been accomplished as a result of all our talented team partners who work day in and day out to provide only the best products and services for our customers,” UniFirst President and CEO Ronald Croatti said in a statement.
