Nashua Historical Society to present In the Spirit of Friendship
NASHUA – Step back in time and converse with two of history’s most influential writers of the American Revolution, John Adams and Mercy Otis Warren when the Nashua Historical Society presents In the Spirit of Friendship on Sept. 16 at 7 p.m.
Explore how their friendship formed, deepened and ultimately endured despite political tensions. The presentation will focus on Warren’s history of the American Revolution and the political tensions it created.
Michael Lepage, a professional historical interpreter for 34 years, will also be on hand. He has portrayed Revolutionary figures including Adams, Paul Revere, Dr. Joseph Warren and Stamp Master Andrew Oliver.
Lepage has also performed at historic institutions including the Adams National Historic Park, the Minute Man National Historic Park, the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum, the Paul Revere House, the Boston Tea Party Museum as well as Boston’s Old South Meeting House and Old State House.
Award-winning educator and historical interpreter, Michele Gabrielson, will be in attendance as well. She is the secretary for the Mercy Otis Warren Society and founder of The Revolutionary Classroom, an interactive mobile education program.
In 2024, Gabrielson received the Rising Star Award for Public Programming and was a finalist for Massachusetts History Teacher of the Year. Last year, she received the Fred Graham Award for Excellence in Teaching and was named Outstanding History Teacher of the Year.
