NASHUA — Matty and Alicia Gregg recently advanced to the final round of America’s Favorite Couple, a national online competition and fundraiser for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana.
The competition began with 200,000 couples. Now, only 14 of them have advanced to the finals where the Greggs are currently in second place. They are also the only New Hampshire couple remaining in the competition.
Should the Greggs win the competition, their love story would be featured in Variety Magazine. They will also receive $20,000 and go on a triple date with high-profile couples Jeff and Emilie Goldblum and Charlie Day and Mary Elizabeth Ellis. The Greggs also said they will donate the $20,000 to a local charity.
Alicia currently serves as an alderwoman-at-large and as a state representative for Ward 7.
She received 7,385 votes in the 2025 city election and finished first in the at-large race. She currently sits on the Joint Board of Public Works and Committee on Infrastructure. As a state representative since 2022, Alicia worked tirelessly to pass nine bills that were ultimately signed into law. She also co-founded the Granite Bridge Legislative Alliance. In addition, she served on the Children and Family Law Committee, the Special Committee on the Family Courts and the Special Committee on the Division for Children, Youth and Families.
“This is such a fun way to celebrate our journey and be able to give back,” Alicia said of the competition. “Having the community rally behind us and get people talking about Nashua makes it even better.”
Matty is an entrepreneur, a long-distance runner and commissioner of Nashua’s Board of Public Works. In October 2024, Matty ran the length of New Hampshire to draw attention to the food shortage in the Granite State. He began running in 2011 and has since competed in more than 50 Tough Mudders as well as the Boston and San Francisco marathons.
“We adore our love story and we get to see and celebrate all of the incredible love stories in the competition,” said Matty. It’s a good break from normal social media.”
The couple also hosts The Gregg Show, where they discuss their family and their lives in Nashua.
Their love story began on Facebook in 2018 while Matty was running across the country to benefit the Firefighter Cancer Support Network. Alicia messaged him saying she was inspired by what he was doing. They ultimately got married during the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the wedding, Alicia’s three children asked Matty to be their father and in January 2021, the adoptions were finalized.
