NASHUA – Daniel Stephen, 44, of Belmont, was taken into custody on Aug. 23 in connection with an alleged theft.

According to the Nashua Police Department, in June, officers received a report about a theft at Trade Land, 293 Daniel Webster Hwy.

Detectives later determined that Stephen was their suspect in the case and charged him with theft by deception.

Stephen was held on preventive detention and was arraigned in Nashua District Court on Aug. 24.

Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to seven years in prison, up to five years of probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
